I have an E90 LCI with factory CIC and a retrofitted Combox.

I can open the Internet homepage however from there I can't open any websites and I receive the following error "Secure connection to server not possible. SSL certificate validation error".

I've tried with both an iPhone 5C and 6S and receive the same error.

For those with factory fitted Comboxes; do you have this issue?

I think you need to update the software....

You may need to update via Winkfp / ISTA however.

This has been discussed a number of times on bimmerfest over the years. I don't think anyone found a fix. People put it down to an out of date browser and new SSL technology. People have reported the error with factory fitted CIC too...
