Spare wheel/tire sizes
Hey guys,
been looking to buy a spare wheel for my E91 and since all of the older gen wheels are steel with ET32 and 115/90R16 tires I decided to go for the F30 alloy spare (17x4 ET5) with 155/70R17 tire. Thing is, according to the tire size calculators, the E4x series spare diameter is 0.8" smaller than the stock E9x wheels and the one I purchased (155/70R17) has a smaller difference and is 0.6" bigger in diameter (though side by side to my stock wheels it looks huge). So now the question is, will I have any issues running the bigger spare? Looking at it by the side of the car it looks like it will barely fit into the wheel arch.
