N20 plastic OFH recall SIB 11 13 15

I had the dealer take care of the oil filter housing recall (SIB 11 13 15), and they changed the plastic assembly out for the aluminum one. I searched but didn't find any posts on this and I was curious if anyone knew anything else about it. I vaguely remember something saying the new housing takes a different oil filter.

Amazing that someone thought that was a good use of plastic in the engine bay...
