The only problem would be where contact is made with the weatherstrip on the door frame, and you should keep that treated with a lubricating preservative to keep it from drying out anyway.

I just went with V-Kool tint VK-30 on my front, X-15 side and back. The VK-30 blocks IR heat like a champ, probably nothing better, but it also blocks easy pass and some cell phone signal. So I only put it on the front windshield and will make a small hole for my easy pass. The X-15 is dark and does not block anything.. getting the car tmr, will report soon
