Light flash when locking?

I do not have iDrive.
I do NOT have an alarm.

When locking/unlocking my car, my parking lights used to flash... normal.

I noticed recently, they haven't been... car still locks/unlocks fine... but no flashing lights.

I tried looking through the menu on the dashboard without much luck... the only 2 settings I saw for lights were DRL's on/off, and how long the parking lights are supposed to stay on (40 seconds - which I am pretty sure mine don't stay on at all)

I have adaptive headlights, but I honestly don't use them... I have always manually turned my lights on.

I've had my car 5 years... my battery is good.

It can be coded on and off. Maybe an update changed the setting?

Hm...

My car has been sitting in my garage all winter (hooked up to a battery tender)

... I drove it maybe 4 or 5 times over the last 4 months or so, but getting her ready for the summer (just order new wheels too)

I drove it this past weekend and this is when I noticed the lights not flashing. I cant really recall if the lights flashed before I put it away for winter, but I know they always used to for 4.5+ years...

mine is doing the same but randomly, i thought it might be the battery but the battery is good.

All the lights turn on, including the doors, and mostly all the time now, only the doors lights up

Yours might be battery and/or IBS cable if you didn't do the recall...

But for me,
All my lights work, including door handle lights, etc.

And mine is not random, my lights 100% of the time don't flash when locking/unlocking the car...

Mine only flashes the first time i lock it.

If i forgot I locked it and hit it again, the lights will not flash.

If your trunk or doors are not closed properly, circuit is not complete and it will not flash.

Check your door and trunk latches, maybe you have an issue there.

Put your lights to Auto and they'll flash when you lock / unlock

You are most likely correct...

However, I shouldn't have to do this... since I never did this before.

Either a fuse or wire is broken; and/or somehow it got turned (or coded) "off"

The setting should be under door locks, not lights.
