Best Compromise between Track/Supercar, Daily Driver and Cost to Own

While the M4GTS will be my next vehicle based on my research, I would like people to comment on the merits and compromises of the following vehicles. Personally, I drive 140 miles a week split between interstates and rough city roads. For reference, I currently have a 2015 991 base car. I find it too narrow with my knees hitting the door pull and the center console, too harsh on the rough roads, and too loud on the interstate from tire noise. I typically keep my cars 2 to 3 years.
In order of descending cost:

2017 Acura NSX
While expensive may have good resale value in 2-3 years ? little to no depreciation
Supposed to be very comfortable and quiet in stealth mode
Excellent Performance

2017 Audi R8 Spyder
Supposed to be very comfortable
Excellent Performance (even though no plus model)
Comfortable
Probably depreciate 20K per year based on previous generation estimates

2 year old Ferrari California
Very Comfortable
Decent Performance
Expect depreciation of 18K per year even on used car
Convertible

M4GTS
Probably no depreciation
Supposed to be Comfortable, not sure how quiet especially on highway (hated the drone from my 1 series m)
Excellent Performance

Mercedes AMG GT
Excellent Performance
$15K depreciation per year
Not supposed to be as comfortable or quiet as even my 991

Jaguar SVR
Probably 20K depreciation per year
Good to excellent performance
Comfortable
Convertible

2017 GTR
$15K per year depreciation for 2-3 years before leveling off
Excellent performance
No idea how comfortable compared to 991 however new GTR has active noise cancelling, acoustic front windshield and more insulation for 2017

2017 alfa romeo giulia quadrifoglio
$10K depreciation/yr.
Excellent Performance (7:39 Nurburgring)
Comfortable
Practical (even has a real rear seat with 4 doors)
Reliability a big question especially initially

Out of those listed I would go with the R8 or AMG GT-S..both amazing cars, maybe scoop a better deal on an AMG seeing as the R8's are only just hitting the dealers.

Why do you assume little to no depreciation on '17 NSX? The old NSX sure depreciated and I don't think they will sell the new NSX in limited numbers in order to keep value better.

Absolutely can depreciate. Projections are for 800 cars a year globally. Dealers are getting 1 build every 3 months. Previous generation cars selling for 50% msrp, even the 1991's. Totally unknown how the market will treat the new car. Most supercars depreciate 10% per year. Gt3 and RS's Porsches hold at MSRP for awhile, 458"s and 488's MSRP minus a few bucks (10k) per year if undriven (1500 miles a year).
I guess I would assume 10% per year like the R8, until proven otherwise.

I don't think you will find the M4 GTS very comfortable as a daily driver. It's barely a street car. It's loud, tires are not good in rain (might last 10-12k miles), oil changes at 5k intervals, crappy radio. Read the training guide. This is not your daily commuter.

I'll have my 991 for awhile to see if I get acclimated to the GTS as a DD. If not, off she goes and back to the Porsche until I am on to the next car. One of the reviews, Evo tells me to give it a shot. They say it is loud in sport or sport plus.

"On the road you need to tread carefully around the Cup 2 tyres when they haven’t got heat in them but it is a truly thrilling machine. The road settings for the suspension don’t turn the GTS into a cosseting cruiser, but they soften things sufficiently to let it cope well with B-road bumps and although you’ll still find it distracted by cambers, you’re not left fighting the car. Perhaps more remarkably, it’s sufficiently habitable that you wouldn’t mind doing a decent motorway journey to reach a trackday, even if it was as far away as the Nurburgring.

If it sounds loud on track, it sounds positively bombastic on the road when the powertrain is in Sport or Sport+ mode".

That AMG is sweet.

But by ALL means... NSX needs to be in 1st place.

Had a 98' Targa. Sooooo regret selling it.

Not the same car, but damn you, you made me think of it. Again.

What about a slightly used RWD Huracan? I'm sure there are some for sale due to buyer's remorse haha.

Out of your list, definitely the R8. It just looks so timelessly badass.

I'd like to register a vote for the R8.

I like all of those cars to some degree excluding the M4. It just does not do anything at all for me by any measure. Especially at that price point.

Have fun!

I don't think the M4 GTS would be appropriate for a daily drive if you say 991 is not comfortable enough.

the low lip will even give you more trouble..

I'd go for the R8.. luxury and sport. looks damn good as well now.. real jet fighter.

The NSX will absolutely depreciate. I haven't read a single review that was all that positive. My brother was offered the first one by his dealer at MSRP and he was not the first to turn them down. At the price of the NSX there are many cars that are more desirable.

It's high praise that the M4 GTS and the Alfa Romeo even made this list, because those are some high-caliber, high-content cars on this list.

R8 and NSX would be at the top of this list for me. A test drive and further research on reliability would seal the deal for me.

If it has to be from your list, R8 would be the one.
