N53 regulator noise

Hi

Asking here as there seems to be a lot of n53 expertise and knowledge. I have a 40k mile n53 and I've posted video asking if it sounds normal before and been told it sounds normal.

All good. Except im not convinced

It doesn't come across on video too well as its difficult to record, there is a metallic noise at idle and on over run which from what I can gather is the fuel regulator. It sounds a bit like a dragging brake pad or metal on metal rubbing, and I can hear it with the windows down. It comes on an off as the revs rise and fall between idle and 2000 rpm.

Anyone got any knowledge of this? Is it just a case of live with it or can the regulator be changed for a quieter one?

Thanks
Mike
