Couple of quickies

No not that, you perverted bastards. Couple of quick questions I could do with thoughts on:

1) first service is flashing as due within 1000 miles. Have only just crossed 12k so is this a bit early, reflective of the fact that the car is either stop start in town when she has it, then driven properly when I have it? (I'm motorway but then do give it a spanking at least once every drive).

2) whenever that service takes place, should I give BMW ear ache about my seat bolster already wearing? I know it's common and I've had it on my last two, but this is my first brand new machine so I wonder if there's more recourse for such eventualities?

Gracias for any input.

Point 1 - sounds likely, are you on a service pack anyway? Not sure they didn't reduce some service intervals at some point? - that could be bollocks though.

Point 2 - definitely, whether they do anything about it another question, but definitely try.

Mine is the same as I'm on 10k and it says 2k till first service. I guess it could be to do with me doing short 3-4 mile journeys for the school run and working from home most days.

Mine is due in 1100 miles, so will be due around 15k miles.

Need to think about getting it booked in and more importantly a courtesy car.

Make a list of all the bits you want sorted.

1. I got 18k out of mine which was a shame cos it means I've missed a third service on the pack.
2. Yes. I got mine replaced at the first service and have since changed how I get in the car to prevent wear again.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I got the service pack chucked in when I was rinsing the poor lamb for all his worth. Guess I will call tomorrow and see what reaction I get to the low mileage.

The seat wear really fucks me off. But we'll see where that goes. Probably cheaper to upgrade to an M3. If she asks.

It's all down to driving style routes etc

Mines due at 14k miles.

Mrs also due but at 10k miles - all short hop stop start. Hers came up on time elapsed ax opposed to mileage

Mention the bolsters and see what happens.

Don't forget to tell them not to wash the car.
