BMW Warranty on M cars

I have a 330i (2010 with 72k) with BMW extended warranty on £37 a month. Recently was looking at 335i ( 2011 with 35k) at £43 a month.

Just saw a Low Miles E90 M3 ( 2010 with 25k) so typed the reg in....... £141 a month.

All with £100 xs & no Breakdown.

You can get some new cars for that as a monthly payment.

Just reaffirms that whilst I want the M the step up in performance in not worth the 3 fold increase in costs ( in every area, not just warranty).

The price for the BMW Insured Warranty can be all over the place without any obvious reason.

It's been debated on M3 Cutters recently.

I pay £85 per month for my 59 Plate with 31K on the clock. Thats full comp, with breakdown and £100 excess.

Some guys with 2011/12 cars are paying a lot more.

Doesn't make any sense.

However, when your M3 goes bang it will cost 3x to fix it

You're looking at £1600-1700 for an M3 warranty.

I noticed that when the car goes over 60,000 miles you're looking at £3900.

The little M135i is just under £600 for the warranty.

My old N54 335i was £380 or 390.

Price do appear to be going up quite a lot recently.

You're correct that it goes sky high over 60K miles. It used to be that a pay monthly policy was a fixed price and didn't increase at 60K but they have recently introduced annual price increases for those policies so who knows.

It costs me £1020 a year which I think is reasonable for comp with breakdown and £100 excess. It's a little over £20 a week.... beer money.

As above. I know people that spend more than £20 a week on coffee and smokes.

I pay £45pm for my 335i with £100 excess and no breakdown.
