Looking to change up the stereo...

Morning all,

Have a standard, boring interior in my E90 and was looking to upgrade the stereo in it to ideally, something touchscreen.

I presume you guys will know if it's double DIN or single? 10' plate E90 for reference. Do you have any recommendations? Budget is around £400 tops.

TIA!

I'm unsure as I've got ccc but I think you can fit a double din in there. Do some research there are some very good models that link in with your Apple ios or Android ios. I had a pioneer one I my x5 that was very good.

If you've got an iPhone and love how it works then get a double din with Apple CarPlay

Thanks lads. Will have a look at the Pioneer kit. I've seen one before on Halford's website, don't suppose anyone has it or knows if it's any good?

I bought the standard carplay unit for my old e92 from halfords (£350 then) and never got around to it but then installed it in an A3 and it does the job very well. Use spotify over Bluetooth works great and you can have hand free calling etc. Quite nice. I do have sub in the boot too with it.
I do have the wiring kit for the e9x and the pioneer cable for it too if you do take that route. It is brand new so if interested PM me.

It works great.
Volume control, track change, fast fwd rwd, etc all work.

Pdc also works, (added pdc speaker module)
I also have a reverse camera.

The only thing is the little speaker icon, which can't trigger siri. Or maybe I haven't set it up right.
