First Look at M4 GTS with Carbon Compound Wheels in the flesh.

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi, good evening.

Just wanted to share with you some pictures of this awesome car with the 19/20" M Carbon Compound wheels (front: 9.5 J x 19, rear: 10.5 J x 20) at 8000vueltas Michelin Trackday, in Spain. The wheels are a CFRP/aluminium-composite construction and save around seven kilograms (15.4 pounds) off the weight of a BMW M4 GTS fitted with the standard forged aluminum Style 666 wheels They come wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires adapted specially for the BMW M4 GTS (front: 265/35 ZR19, rear: 285/30 ZR20).

I think it's the first one spotted with those wheels. Looks mean in the flesh, absolutely stunning. I have no video sound, but it sounds very rough with these crackles and bangs from the exhaust.

Also see: original announcement of the carbon compound wheels @ http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1214990

Hope you like them, greetings from Spain! :thump:

They sure could have made more of an effort to bring some pleasing appearances to those wheels.

I do too. I hated them when I first saw them but over time they are growing on me.

Now that looks downright menacing.

It almost looks like the rear wing is the lower-rise M Performance part vs. the proper GTS one. Probably just the angle though.

Digging these wheels, good shots. Too bad you couldn't get a closer shot. I'd like to see how the carbon integrates with the aluminum.

Could they pick a more boring wheel design. Stockers look way better.

yeah they look like they came from the back page of a road & track magazine - at least take a design from the back of euromag or super street

If my math is right these wheels are 87.6lbs total (103lbs - 15.4lbs), which still makes them 7.1lbs heavier than the stock 513Ms (80.5lbs).

How is that possible?
