Alpine Retrofit Amp issue

Hi

Have the alpine retrofit previously installed in the car.
Noticed the left side used to crackle here and there and if you turned the volume up and then back it would sort it.

Now have noticed the drivers side mid is alot lower then the other side.
I have checked the connections and also taken the door card off to have a look but all seems fine.

After doing some more research I think this could be a issue with the amp?
Is this a common problem with it

Im thinking now just to put in a xion/gladen 3 way kit and 4 channel amp and upgrade it anyway.

The alpine kit seems to be connected with a factory block connector under the sill.
Is there a loom similar to this I can buy to use with a aftermarket amp or am I best running all new wires and tapping into the speaker outputs from the back?

Thanks
