How does this work? One car per 5,000 tickets sold, when do they draw grand prize? Because $25 x 5,000 = $125,000, so if I buy all 5,000 tickets I'm guaranteed to win the GTS? Terms/odds are very unclear...

Here is the link to the 2015 winners and the raffle rules. Pretty straight forward

So an unlimited number of tickets can be sold? It's not clear on the odds at all.

Yes, an unlimited number of tickets can be sold. One car is awarded for every 5000 tickets sold. Last year, I believe 8 cars were won. But, only one M4GTS will be awarded, i.e., the grand prize.

Yup thats correct. As I only bought 2 tickets last year, every time BMWCCA received 5000 entries, BMWCCA bought another car to raffle off, most likely same as last year, a M235i (which is fine with me)

Not to mention from an income tax stand point be ready to shell out close to 50,000.00 dollars or more within a short amount of time for your tax installment to the feds and or state depending on your tax bracket. That winning car IS income for anybody who wins it no matter who or what.

First prize should be a well equipped M3/4. The main prizes should be the M2 replacing the M235.

Oh well, will still be throwing away money on two tickets this year.

Not guaranteed at all. There are not separate pools of tickets for each car, one pool of tickets that gets drawn from without replacement. The odds calculation changes with each additional ticket added to the pool.

Assuming exactly 5000 tickets are bought the odds are 1/5000.

If they do not meet the threshold for a car the worst the odds should be is 1/9999.

Which is actually MUCH better than winning an equivalent amount in Powerball, which is 1:73,050 when you account for the cost of a Powerball ticket vs. BMWCCA raffle ticket.

Is this open to U.S. residents only? I assume so but I didn't see anything in the rules unless I missed it.

I was one of the winners in 2006. (I only bought one ticket.) The choices were a 325xi, 325ci convertible, or Z4 3.0si roadster. I took the cash (approximately $30K) and used it towards a 2007 Z4 M coupe.

Yes.

After a year you get a rebate on a BMW vehicle purchase. Also get discounts on M schools.

Membership cost pay for themselves if you get a BMW.
