Resin Number Plates?!???

I am having a pretty hard time finding out how legal the resin gym plates are?

Some sites are stating they are legal as they are printed on a reflective background?

Has anyone got them and has it caused any hassle?

It sounds CRINGE but the wife and I have matching plates, sort of, bar one digit and I think they would look really clean, I hate the metal ones but these look smart.

As far as I'm aware, there's no stipulation of what material the plate is made of, just that it is of a certain size, with correct font, and reflectivity. And colour of course.

Garage List
Also needs the BSU stamp and the suppliers name and postcode. Has to be the standard font and legal spacing and be a proper certified/approved reflective material.

I went for aluminium plate with resin lettering. The website i used confirm they are to BS standard so you can comfortably direct liability to them if you have any issues.

Mate I have these. There is nothing that actually says resin is illegal. its more you just need to ensure that it has the BSAU which AFAIK states it legal in terms of it being reflective.

I dont know anyone who has been pulled for having resin plates. Only people who have been pulled for incorrect spacing which is very very rare.
