Hi everybody,
I wanted to update the software in my e90 i recently bought (my first bmw, made in 09 2010) and i can't find the software update feature in the list of settings. i watched some YT videos and most people have that as the last entry. My last entry is door lock.... some folks have other stuff after door lock, like tailgate and profiles... why is mine different? why can't i update it?
i also want to eventually update the maps, once i get my head round getting fsc codes, but now i'm worried that I will have problems with that as well?

what can i do ?

This software is not for CIC, but for Combox media or telematic.

so it updates stuff like phones and aux devices compatibility?
if so then i won't bother, since i hardly ever use any of these.

09's did not come with Combox so we don't have the ability to upgrade software.

Dealer can upgrade CIC firmware but they only do it if there is a problem. Hopefully its been upgraded at least once so you can do map updates over USB.
