Has anyone tried the "loud cold start" trick?

Try the "loud cold start" trick that works in the M3/4.

Get in.
Press ignition switch without foot on brake.
Put in sport+ mode.
Depress gas pedal and release (listen for the click of the exhaust Valves opening).
Start and enjoy the pretty music.

Curious if this works in the M2.

I'll try today and report back...however the car is damn loud in the garage on start up anyway! Neighbor already commented...LOL

Thank you my good sir. Should cold start with butterflies open. Makes the M3/4 sound louder. A gimmick for sure, but fun when showing the car to n00bs.

I usually don't even allow food in my car, let alone on the pedals. I didn't know there was a self destruct pedal in these cars. /sarcasm off

It's 8:45am here on Sunday morning so unless I want a quick divorce I'll wait until around 10 or 11am to conduct said test.

This! I am picking up my car tomorrow and then will drive it to get Xpel installed. I probably won't have my car for another week or so....I need MOAR CONTENT to keep my mind occupied. haha.

Cold start trick (or whatever it is) didn't work for me. No clicking when the pedal depressed or louder start. Quick video:
