Production started today

My CA emailed me on Feb 12th saying that he had an allocation. It just started production today, according to bmwusa tracking website. I'll keep you guys updated with progress!

Mine finished last Tuesday (4/12) and still waiting for the carrier.

how long did it take to get your production number? I ordered a M2 with an allocation on the 6th and still don't have it yet...

When I was contacted in February with an allocation I received my production number shortly after I replied with my configuration. It has been sitting in limbo "Vehicle scheduled for production, with no confirmed production date yet" until early this month.

Is this a dealer's launch car?

It was their 2nd car. When I inquired about the allocation in Feb he said that it was not an HEA and that the sales manager convinced the BMW rep to give them another allocation. Perhaps because I pre-traded in my 135i? However after reading this forum makes me think somehow they were able to receive 2 HEA allocations...

You should have a production number within a day or two. No production number means no allocation available in my opinion.

Made it to the port last week and according to the 1-800 number the car is in transit as of today.

Car is on the "Asian King", due to dock in NJ on 5/18.

Car was offloaded in NJ on the 19th, through customs on the same day and processed through the VPC. The car status is now that the vehicle has been delivered (even according to the CA), however it is not at the dealership yet. He hopes it will arrive today.

Car did arrive Wed, I went to see it and its awesome! Not taking delivery until this afternoon because I am having the XPEL done right at the dealership and the soonest they could make it there was this morning. Next post should include pictures!
