Does it need any other part to install this? What about the button on the steering wheel column, etc?

You would need to swap over your controls from your wheel. As far as the column button if yours doesn't have it I'm sure you can get a oem column with the button.

Is this out of a DCT or 6MT vehicle?

There are four extra holes drilled on the DCT wheel for the paddle shifters.

Correct, I have changed two wheels now and don't see any reason why a DCT wheel wouldn't go in a 6speed.

I ended up having to drill out the holes to go the other way. I even installed my stock F80 wheel in my wife's X5.

Anyone know if this would fit the F22 chassis hub? And is the heated version any thicker/larger than the non-heated? Since mine is not heated, I can do without that option but I would need the holes for paddle shifters (standard in a M235i).

Not sure about the fitment
But the heated and non heated wheel is the same size.
