JB4 with MHD Backkend Flash

Hi
Just after some advice

Currently running a JB4 on Map 5 with the following mods:

Catted Downpipes
Exhaust
FMIC
Forge Bov
Stett Cold Air Intake
Factory Charge Pipe

Have heard good things about running the jb4 with a backend flash so purchased the mhd flasher.

Now I'm not sure which map i need to purchase to run with the JB4?
I only run Vpower which i believe is 99 octane?

Also when i tried to backup the ecu the time left kept going up to around 4000minutes remaining and was stuck on 0% !!

Any advice much appreciated

Sounds like you left your jb4 on map 5.. Set to map 0 then attempt flash.

Yes was on map5 wil give that a go

Any idea on the map? As when you press jb4 with backend flash it goes to look for a map file.
On the mhd store not sure which one I need

Start with the "pump" then monitor your logs to see if you can up it to "race"
There are settings in tuner pro you will have to change for UK cars.

Yeah. There are different options depending on the fuel you run.

Flashed the BMS Race map the other day

Car pulls alot stronger now but noticed today JB4 keeps going to Map4 after a WOT,

Also it has brought up a misfire code and when i investigated it further seems i have a rocker cover leak.

Is V power fuel suitable for the race map or should i switch to the pump map for the time being.

Have tried to log but hard to get a 3rd gear log around here!

You should be running the pump flash. I think you will need much higher octane for the race flash.

Thanks for that
Will flash it before I go to work

Was recommended to flash it on the mhd topic but I think the us and UK octane is not the same?

Correct. Our 99 is about 94 USA. You will need 97+ USA for the race flash. That's about 103 UK. So a real race fuel. Very expensive.
Unless you're running meth? Then this will supplement octane.

No problems.

Your engine will have been knocking like mad on the advanced timing of the race map. Pulling timing and throwing a map 4 safety switch.

Which settings are you meant to change as I've been running a mhd pump bef and didn't alter anything?

Sorry. I wouldn't like to say as I don't know enough about it.
