320i N46B20B no MAF data

hi to all. for the last year i have a very low fuel consumption. also I used to remember that I was able to read MAF values via torque pro.
now, whatever App or program i try to use (torque pro, carly, inpa, dis) i am not able to read my MAF. moreover as I said my consumptio is quite low and the car has same behaviour in what regards acceleration. never had a fault code. I tried to unplug the maf and drove for at least 15 minutes but again no fault code and no issue with engine power etc.
I think that all these tend to show a problem with the dme and maf connection? maybe there is a need for a new software update? truth is i am not sure how the engine performs great with maf plugged in and totally unplugged too.
maybe this is due to "saved" default fuel trims if maf goes off?
what should i do? thanks.

Surprised you don't get a fault code when the MAF is unplugged. You should get short circuit errors.

What software are you using?

hi! thanks for asking! I have used everything available on my hand!
meaning torque pro, carly, dis, inpa!
also, i visited a bmw specialist garage and spoke to them and they are thinking 2 probabilities:
1. dme stopped reading maf values due to a dme failure and probably it needs a new firmware (updated)
or
2. maf's failure and dme works with "default standarised" values

any thoughts? i am planning to go and check it at another specialist too...

I've just seen this Terry. I didn't get a notification for some reason.
Did you get this sorted?
