Lightbulb Adjusting ambient lighting without brightening dash?

They adjust with the dimmer control... and I love them but have noticed that on our F30... they are bright without the dash being bright.

Is there anyway to adjust them without the dash turning bright?

Thanks

Looked into this quite extensively when I got mine. Apparently not. No coding values to change the brightness, or none that have been found anyway. IIRC it is actually a single LED on each door that is illuminated by a clear plastic tube. You can look at increasing the voltage to the LED's or replacing them. A thread does exist somewhere showing a forum member upgrading the LED's with some kind of resistor. Thay was a bit too far for me though.

Mine has a continuous stream of LEDs at closer glance... loads of tiny little ones and the light is pretty equal through the length of the LED strip..

I will leave them be if I can't do anything about them.

Thanks.
