2015 m235i cluster change

I am looking into going from a 2014 to 2015 m235i. I recently noticed that the new car does not have the technology package that my original one has. Is is possible to not only retrofit the nav package, but if anything swap out the basic cluster to the other.

Thank you

It's possible, if you buy a secondhand cluster then is must have a lower Odometer reading than your car has or your car will adjust it's mileage to be the same as the new cluster.

google 6WA retrofit...

You will need to retrofit the navigation system first because the 6WA cluster needs to be connected to the MOST bus compared to the basic cluster which doesn't. The basic headunit doesn't have MOST connectors but the NBT navigation headunit has the MOST connectors.
So you need to retrofit the NBT headunit. Then buy a virgin/new cluster and connect it the headunit using a new MOST cable.
I suggest buying a virgin cluster instead of a used one with a lower odo because some people have had problems writing their VIN without using an EEPROM programmer.

You don't have to add an NBT unit but you will need to add the MOST connections from which ever headunit fitted to the car & then code for 6WA.

You will have these if your headunit has a MOST connection. If not it will just be a flat area.
