Arrow Charlotte (Lake Norman) area tint shops

Wondering if anyone knows of a reputable tint shop in the Charlotte/Lake Norman area? I'd like to go a little darker than stock and get some additional protection for my all black interior before the warmer weather starts. Thanks!

I take all my cars to sun stoppers in Charlotte. They're fast and they do a good job. I paid 120 to tint my f30.

I second Sunstoppers. I had my last ride done at the new shop on Clanton Rd. (Sunstoppers Southend) and the work was great. The shop is actually open to the waiting area, so you can watch/chat with them while they work - Great guys to deal with.

I had previously been a fan of lightning mikes, but they sold to someone a while back and it just isn't the same. Hope this helps!

Did your cars come with the windows already tinted? I took my F30 to a shop last week and was told that nothing could be done because it's illegal to put a layer of tint over an existing later even if the combined level of tint is within legal limits.

I've been to Brian's Exclusive Detail. I had my last car tinted there, and took my car to get inspected at the now-closed shop uptown near One BAC and the guy failed it. I took it back to Brian (he stood by his warranty) and he removed all the tint and re-did the work with a less-dark film. Love that guy.

I don't think the issue is that it's illegal to tint over glass that has existing pigment in it, I think that most glass (especially on a BMW) likely already has some tint in the glass, so if you add 30% film on top of it you end up >30%.
