Just pro's at the moment. Can't find at this stage any problems. Sure someone will come back and list a 10 page list.

Still contemplating it but as I run a lot of CAD software, rendering plugins and related hardware it all runs sweet on 7 and don't want to chance it by moving to 10. Just isn't as proven yet or have the support for the specialist stuff.

I've tried it 3 times on my Samsung laptop and each time I've had to revert back thanks to BSOD, I think it's something to do with the Wi-Fi drivers. For the short period it worked W10 looked very good so I'll give it another go one day.

Not the best so far, love some bits but as my computer was custom built by me (water cooled and everything) I am having lots of driver and plugin issues with sound cards, GPUs and some of the windows "apps" dont seem to work any more and they need to be re-registered apparently.

I haven't had enough time to play but I have had it on since the day it was released.

It is good but if you need reliability, I would stay away for the time being. It is a good OS though.

Pros:

Fast boot up
A task bar on each display if you run a multi screen setup
Looks better
Faster overall

Cons:

Not reliable
Not yet fully compatible with all components

I like the revised start menu with tiles, new snapping features, having start menu on all screens (rather than just primary display).

Still feel like W7 is more stable but not that 10 is unstable. 10 constantly improving also.

If you have a newer machine, upgrade for free while you can. If not, leave as is.

Find it really good, the advancement that 8/8.1 was supposed to be but never was

I just Upgraded a few of the work laptops to it (1 from a fresh install and the other 2 upgrades from 8.1) and had no issues with drivers bar having to upgrade the firmware for the ssd drives

If you do install Windows 10, just be aware of your privacy.

It's not as bad as some people make out, but it's worth looking into

http://lifehacker.com/what-windows-1...lly-1722267229

Apart from that, Windows 10 is great - much quicker. Especially if you use Classic Start Menu. I'm not the biggest fan of the Windows 10 start menu!

It's a download: http://www.classicshell.net/ I have used it since Windows 8. Just use the Start Menu part, I couldn't use Windows 10 without it!

Yeh I did a while ago and I think it was Waspo or Acerboo who said that 10 is everything 7 should have been but wasn't. There are some pretty nifty features. It hasn't been as bad as I thought would be moving with the times.

My pros: intuitive, fast, stable, lots of advantages features but seems idiot proof at the same time..
My cons: some basic programmes like ms paint need to be added by entering a command and I found that tedious. I mean come on? It wasn't under accessories but you have to google how to make a short cut for it. Appearance may not be to everyone's liking. Corona is annoying so I disabled it...

I'm on Windows 10 from Windows 7. Impressed overall. But as mentioned above changing can bring issues.

I have done the swap on about 6 computers and half ran into problems. Also one Samsung laptop I had to remove the Wi-fi card for it to work. Pain in the ass!!

I have a Samsung laptop and it's the Wi-Fi that causes me the upgrade problems. I managed to successfully upgrade via ethernet but as soon as I reverted to Wi-Fi BSOD!

Yes there seems to be known issues with various Samsung laptops. The one I was using would not work via ethernet. Only physical removal of the wi-fi card(broadcom) allowed it to install. Luckily my neighbour only uses the laptop in one place so its hardwired now.
