Replace rear brake pads at indy

would it be advisable to get the rear brake pads replaced at an independent garage near my house? They are fairly competent and have been around for quite a while. Not Approved/Authorized etc.
Or would it affect the resale value or risk safety?

Brake pads is an easy enough job and it won't affect the resale value one bit...

Change them yourself if you want as doesn't effect anything in terms of resale etc. Pads a straight forward job.

It won't affect your warranty or resale value if you use genuine parts. Even an invoice from BMW from the parts department for rear brake pads would hold up fine with the service history.
