Dyno

Just had my car on the Dyno....very pleased with the results. It surprised the guys who were doing it...first run which ironically was the best he deleted as he thought it was spinning because of the figures it was throwing out
I ran it safe with a 50 adder...happy with 510 hp

Used Performance Torque over your neck of the woods Raj...its interesting he said he thought his dyno was a "heart breaker" ....463whp so they are calculating a 10% loss in drivetrian to get to a 510bhp.

I always though it was more like 15-18% on our cars for losses

Just got the reply from trebila...basically saying the dyno operator needed to apply more dyno brake as revs were too quick so didn't build expected boost...also he mentioned that he had hit the rev limiter.

I must admit I do find this slightly disappointing...

How do you think this effects your results?

TBH I think the results look pretty good.
What make of dyno was this as most people in the UK seem to use a Dyno Dynamics Rollers which helps comparisons?

Looking at the logs it was targeting 22 but only hitting 19...a road run I see a peek of 23 tapering to 20. That's a potential 30hp or more?
It was a Dynocom 2400 HP AWD.

I did try mine at surrey rolling road last year but as it threw up the bloody 30FF didn't get a clean run so I'd love to get it on at some point just to see. Only issue is I still get the 30FF on odd occasions and randomly so it's difficult to diagnose.

Apologies Lawton438 missed this...yes I thought that to...but they did a "run down" and that what they estimated.

I'm not too bothered...the car is somewhere between 500-550 hp which is where is should be so I'm happy

I've heard the places that use this drag back method aren't great. Reason being that a transmission under load will have different drag characteristics to one not under load.

Anyway, you know your car is powerful Russ. I mean what were you doing boost wise? A bit north of 20 PSI.

I looked on N54 for the revised meth add boost targets but I can't find them anymore. My car on 40 add and stock turbos feels fast as f***.

Ironically Jack on the run under 20 psi...on the road I see 23 with spot on timing so I think its another 20-30hp could have been seen if the dyno was setup right!
