Only thing i found from a quick google search which could relate to that was vanos solonoids. Are you getting any symptoms or is it just a random fault code? Does it clear or come back after a few days?

When I bought my 330d LCI; it had winter tyres fitted which I kept on the car until around May.

I would notice that as I accelerated on the motorway in the dry; the traction control light would go crazy and power was being cut.

It transpired that the winters were effectively flexing on the tread blocks because of the dry weather and the torque.

This used to cause the 5DEC error. I had a full car software update last year and this is no longer an issue.
