Is there anyone that could update my CIC software? Not the maps, the firmware/software.

Currently on C08 I think. 2010 car and has never been updated. I'm after the 7 digit postcode mainly.

Of course I'm willing to pay.

i can input a postcode into the city section but its limited. i believe the update give a full 7 digit postcode option. plus im half thinking the update could resolve my reverse camera issue.

I don't see how the firmware is related to the camera issue. If it was related I'd say it would not work at all rather than only working for the first time as it is now.

Well it's something I want done anyway so worth doing before I possibly spend out on another emulator.

Also interested in this, Maccan is the only one I know of who can do this however he is down in Essex so abit of a trek down really.

7 digit postcode is down to the map version, rather than the CIC firmware!?

Bit of both. If you had newer firmware and updated the maps then yes, but before a certain firmware version new maps make no difference. (To the post code)

Indeed, some people don't actually realise that they don't have full 7 digit. Even I didn't initially.

This is because it does actually allow you to input the full 7 digit postcode, but it only actually uses the first 5 digits and ignores the crucial last 2.

For example if I input a 7 digit postcode to find a house on a large housing estate, it takes me right up to the edge of the estate, then says "bye you're on your own..."

I have CIC I-Drive, 2015 maps, but my 2009 firmware must be too old.

Have you tried updating the maps first? I was frustrated at not having 7 digit postcodes but just accepted it and went to update my maps. I only realised a few weeks later, the full postcode search was then available... may work, unless you've already updated the maps...

New maps will allow searching of 7 digit postcode, but will not allow navigation to a 7 digit postcode.

I'm on 2016 maps and can search one, but not navigate to one (2009 pro nav)

I do CIC, NBT firmware update on bench, but also available at customer place.
