Who's still got pre LCI E90 ? Post Photos

Just thought i would make a quick post to see how many people are still driving pre lci E90 ? They seem to be dying out on here with most people with LCI or E92.

Even though it is starting to look a little dated i think its still a great looking car and mine certainly docent look 11 years old. Its in better condition than most cars half its age.

Anyway post up some pics of your pre lci

Wouldn't say it's looking dated. All BM's age really well.

I think I just get hung up on it looking dated when comparing it to the LCI which obviously looks more modern but I rekon most people except e90 enthusiasts would struggle to tell the difference between pre LCI and LCI.

people are amazed when I tell them my car is 10 years old, then I remember it's actually 11 years old !

Garage List
All really nice motors, and the only thing that "dates" them over the LCI in looks is the bonnet inserts above the kidney grilles which is only really noticeable on the all chrome set ups but then it's still nothing major and doesn't detract from a well designed car. My option on BMWs is and always has been that they don't really date as to say the design is so that they age gracefully instead of just date out and look tired this is something Mercedes, Audi, VW, SEAT etc lost a long time ago now their cars 10+ yrs do look dated when you look at say a BMW of that sort of age they just look matured without any stand out styles looking dated. BMW like Porsche, Bentley, Jaguar to a point forgetting the bad years of the s and X type have their styling purposeful and understated and it kind of timeless even in the modern and becoming jelly mould world of car design.

Not sure the e90 will age as well as the e46 however I'm looking forward to keeping my e90 for a long time. The 330i n52 are a last of a kind having a naturally aspirated straight 6 engine.

Here's one from last December which is when I last washed and polished it. I generally only clean the inside weekly as that's what I see when I'm driving.

Thoughts on a gloss black kidney grills? I've been trying to decide for 2 years now if to do it or not

This is what it looks like currently after I decided it was a good idea to overtake a gritter:

I like the black grill, however I've kept mine totally standard as historically BMW only put chrome grills on 6+ cylinders.

Yes I totally get you, I've kind of been in two minds because it has the gloss black window trims as well you see, so I kind of think the grills will just finish it off. However I've not seen a car in my colour with gloss black grills driving around in the flesh, so I'm still undecided. I've seen plenty of pictures online only.

Nah it's not permanent, most of it has come off now with driving and rain, so its all good. I'm just waiting for the weather to get better to get it clean. I'm thinking of buying a cheap machine buffer as well to give me a better finish.

2006 330d. It's on 156k now and still a great motor. I've had it for 4 1/2 years. Considering a change to a F10 530d soon.
