Fs: Ford Sierra Cosworth Sapphire 4wd
My good friend's Cossie will be going up for sale soon, due to go in for some work as its been SORN for 15 years and kept in a dry garage covered!
Only on 54,000 with full service history, as my friend used to deliver cars for Ford in the early 90's it always got serviced by Ford only. It will have a new MOT and ready to be taxed. Will be having the fuel tank, disc and pads, timing belt replaced and all checked out by a well-known Cosworth specialist in North London. Colour is Black on the log book but really is like a Flint Grey as suggested by Rob-330d. History behind the car, was originally a ex-police car in Saudi Arabia which my friend brought from HR Owen in Central London all kitted out with the lights etc. Luckly he got rid of all that crap and restored to factory back then. It currently has a horrible Ripspeed steering wheel and 17" TSW's but that is going to be replaced with the orignal steering wheel and 16" alloys. Mods include: - Stage 1 Map - Uprated poly bushes - Powerflow DTM style exhaust. Car will be availble to view and sold by Acorn Cars in North London (Front building of Yiannimize). Soon as the link is up will post here, should be all done in 2 weeks time. He's been offered around the £20K mark for it but nothing concrete of course. Perfect weekend/investment car as these are becoming modern classics like the E30's. Everyone prefers the 2WD for powersliding and being lighter but personally 4WD for me is much better. if he has been offered £20k for it then i would suggest that he takes that offer up!! They are going up in value but looking on PH's they are around the £13k mark.

if he's been offered that for it he wants to be taking it ! 20k is what I be expecting to pay for a mint or near mint example . Yes they are going up but that isn't worth 20k I know that much .

The guy who offered the £20K hasn't even seen the car! There is mixed theories on these as you say they do fetch around the £12-15K mark on the net but according to come magazine they are publishing more of the £16-18K mark. The way I see it, if you are offered more than its worth, don't think twice. |

My brother, huge Cosworth fan, reckons £10k tops. And says they never did a Moonstone Grey, it is Moonstone Blue. However, if the log book says black, why isn't it black?

The Moonstone was a guess, i'm not much of a Ford addict...BMW's only for me! Reason behind the Black was that the orignal logbook was in Arabic as its 1st owner was in Saudi Arabia so HR Owen did a direct translation to what was provided - I guess they never saw the car as it isn't clearly black!

As above, deffo flint grey.
They have shot up in price no doubt, but if he's been offered 20k then both parties are v.stupid. one for offering that amount and one for not accepting! Going by the leather seats, shrinkage of the vinyl on the door cards etc etc, that car has done more like 150K! No doubt with a bit of work it could be a very nice car, but i'd price it around 7-8,500k as it sits.

My mates accepted but people offer without the means to pay so he's restoring it all up and will sell for the right price depending on what the market goes at. |
