BMW M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence option to be available for more discreet look

BIMMERPOST NEWS
BMW M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence option also available

COMMENTS

For customers looking to trade the overtly dynamic appearance of their BMW M760Li xDrive for a more discreet luxurious look, the optional BMW M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence is available at no extra cost.

This character variant significantly alters the personality of the BMW M760Li xDrive, shedding the M aerodynamic package and adding 20-inch BMW Individual light-alloy wheels in W-spoke 646 design high-gloss polished with mixed-size tyres (front: 245/40 R20, rear: 275/35 R20). There is also a high-gloss Black finish for the brake callipers. Customers choosing the V12 Excellence model can expect their BMW M760Li xDrive to feature a chrome bar extending across the full width of the car in the upper section of the air intake grille. In addition, the kidney grille bars are in Silver with chrome fronts and surrounds likewise in bright chrome. All the other trim elements on the body also come in bright chrome. In place of a model designation, the BMW M760Li xDrive V12 Excellence has a “V12” badge on the boot lid. The exhaust system’s pair of chrome, rectangular tailpipe embellishers are now framed by additional chrome trim.

Inside the car, meanwhile, the BMW steering wheel features wood inlays, and the V12 lettering in the instrument cluster – whose speedometer extends as far as 260 km/h (160 mph) – illuminates when the driver fires up the engine. The comfort- biased exhaust system with its refined soundtrack also helps to accentuate the specific character of the V12 Excellence model.

Do they have an M variant for the Excellence variant of the M model? For those that want a sport model with a more refined look with a sporty edge? That might reach more consumers.

Meanwhile, only two wagons offered in the US.

how do you like your F31, and did you get the diesel? I have an E91 that I need to trade soon and have considered the new wagon. just wish they'd put the bigger motor in the thing.

Love it to pieces. Does it need a 6 cylinder and the option of a stick? Sure, I tell BMWNA every day. However, the sport auto trans is smooth as butter, perky, and the 4 cylinder wakes right up with a piggyback tune. Essentially matches the stock N55 in the 1/4 mile. Highly recommended, at least until BMW gets their head right and sends us more wagons with more engine choices.

Sorry, the regular gas engine. Personally, I have the Active Autowerke ACTIVE-8 piggyback:

Why is this not just called the 760i/760Li instead of M760i/M760Li Excellence (aka without M-sport bits)?

It's a bit bright. I'd rather have seen it done in Individual Satin Aluminum rather than chrome. This is one of the few cars where the bright work deserves to stand out. The quality and detail is something to behold. The side window trim is comprised of only 4 pieces; two for the front window, the mirror base, and the impressively milled single piece that wraps the rear door.

Agreed, and not with just this, but the entire current nomenclature scheme is moronic. So many 'stickers' too. Juvenile.

Because they love selling the M brand now.

They throw that letter on something and people love it.

The same people you see with an M badge on their 750li's are the same people who want this.

Then again, I can't be sure of that, since I'm sure a lot of those are second hand CPO and cheap, and their owners probably can't afford this, but you get the point.

I'm just surprised they even slapped that V12 badge on there. And in the weirdest spot too
