Funnily, most of the "weight reduction" he quotes for the "80kg diet", are already included on the base M4.

Staring to really appreciate this car even though I think the the design is a little flat. This car will make every single owner and everyone who sees it...

Yeah, and the only other weight reductions come from the rear seat delete and maybe the wheels. However that is mostly offset due to the 5+ kg water tank in the rear of the car. The weight is still impressive, I'm looking forward to the weight with the new CLAR platform in the next gen. of M cars.

I've personally added approximately 3500lbs of CFRP to my car, rendering it nearly weightless.

Everybody forgot to mention the weight added back in by the Roll Bar.We built a few race cars that were over the minimum weights allowed by the rules before figuring this out!

We can start a list

Items that reduce weight over the standard M4:
  • CFRP Hood (bonnet)
  • 666M wheels (speculation here as we do not have the actual weights)
  • Rear seat (and associated hardware) delete
  • Light weight front race seats (less so in North America)
  • Light weight interior trim (center console, door panels, door pull strap)
  • Manual HVAC
  • Basic sound system only (less speakers and amps)
  • CCB (optional on the standard M4)

Items that add weight:
  • Water tank and injection system
  • Roll bar
  • 6 point harness
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Front lip
  • Rear wing

That's why I said "most" and not "all"

To be more professional, he should have mentioned the actual weight reduction items (see post above) .

Kind of ridiculous how much wheel gap this car has. Seeing this car in person it looks like a mini SUV.

If this is supposed to be the Hardcore Race version of the M3 why does it sit so badly. And dont give me the excuse for extra clearance etc... Look how GT3's and GT3RS's sit from the factory.

The ride height is adjustable thanks to having adjustable coil overs.

What about the OLED taillight assemblies? Lighter, heavier, or a wash vs. the standard incandescent assembly on the M4?
