Brake upgrade

I've got a 335d f31.
When pushing the car, I've found the brakes give up after while.
Pads need doing in about 4K miles so I'll upgrade them then, more than likely ebc yellow as on my e92.

Has anyone upgraded there brake fluid and hoses?
Did it fix the issue?

Many thanks

I've changed to braided hoses and the fluid to a dot5.1.
Don't notice much difference on the road, but at Bedford it meant I was able to 4-5 laps with no drop off in braking performance, whereas earlier in the year I struggled to get through 3 laps without the pedal going long.
It's more than enough for the public road I would have thought in terms of heat management and endurance.
I'm actually fitting ebc pads on Monday along with the ACS RS suspension, so can tell you then if there is any discernible improvement.

Anybody tried the m performance discs with the dimpled look simillar to cross drilled.

Do they improve braking or just cosmetic ?

I replaced the stock brake lines with HEL braided lines around 3 months ago and there's a noticeable improvement - more linear relationship between pedal pressure and brake bite, especially when hauling the car down from speed.

The sponginess has all but gone, even running OEM pads with M-Sport calipers. The standard pads aren't the best; EBC Yellow Stuff may improve things further.

Yes, improved performance but I had stock discs i.e. not M-Sport. The increased diameter provides greater swept area at an increased radius - this is more effective than just grooved & dimpled discs.

Yeah I have them too. Doubt there is much real difference in performance but they look much better, and the I really like feint humming sound they make under hard braking!

God, there isn't much left on my car that hasn't been modified...
