New Owner: Alpine White 335d (Photos!)

Just took delivery of our 335d. Been driving it for the last couple of hours and I'm very impressed. Build quality feels good, driving position is great and power is effortless.

It's hard not to open it up fully; trying to be sensible until fully run in. How many miles did you last?

Spec-wise, it's only a very short and very cheap 12 month lease, so we didn't spec anything in the way of additional options. Happy with the car at basic M Sport spec; it's still a significant step up from my last daily.

Lease cars don't have a "run in" period. Let the second owner worry about that

3 + 11 at £399pm.

BMW VIP do some pretty good leases for sports teams (GF is on an F1 team).

I'm trying to be good; don't tempt me.

Put 80 miles on the car today. So far so good.

Got mine last week just put on 100 miles now. Same spec and colour, also on a great lease deal via an f1 discount. I'm biased but alpine white looks good with the standard m sport spec, only thing I really miss is heated seats and xenons, rides really well with the standard 18" wheels and the business navigation is excellent.

Not sure if petrol differs to Diesel but my dealer told me that BMW don't specify a "running in period" anymore as all engines will have been run on a test bed. Accept on m cars where they need to come back in for the 1300 mile service.

My new 340i had its legs stretched as soon as it was up to temperature.

Nice! Did you also use Park Lane?

I really like the standard M Sport 18s, although I wish they offered the 351M for our cars.

The only thing I'm noticeably missing thus far is Xenons and a better sound system.

Hmm this is interesting; from everything I've read it seems like a real mix of opinion. I'm slowly but surely opening it up further and further, and always waiting until it's fully warm before driving with purpose.

Oh, and nice car BTW, looks great. I too like the 18s, considering changing the 19s on my car for something else.

No need to run it in, it only revs to 4500 anyway, just get in and rag it.

Lovely looking car

Like the trailer - never seen car delivered like that before

Can't really class an m sport as basic spec tbh.

Enjoy it.

Yes agreed, if it's a 12 month lease you don't want to be spending a month of that time driving it slowly! Times running out.......
