Do I really need to get my bumper repainted for this tiny area. Local body shop told me trunk needs to be completely repainted. I have 2 exact spots like this from a spoiler coming off.

Yep, it'll look better to repaint the entire panel than to try to blend in a small area like that. The trunk is a pretty small panel. Shouldn't be wildly expensive.

Quoted $350 for rear bumper and $300 for my front. Was thinking of ordering a carbon fiber trunk??? Anyone have thoughts on that? Is it to much rice for a BMW lol

Like the others have stated paint whole trunk. Results will be better. Opinion on carbon fiber trunk...... I suppose in some color combination/ theme it would blend into the overall scheme of the car. Some would say too rice for a BMW and others would say the opposite. Ultimately I think its what's your taste. although it would be pretty expensive endeavor to buy the CF trunk, get it installed and then decide that you don't like the look. Good luck with your decision...but if you decide to keep your trunk definitely repaint the entire thing.

Dang I didn't think $350 was to bad considering they have to sand and prep it etc. They are a pretty high quality shop as well. Does the whole trunk need to be painted for just the whole top area?

Likely the entire trunk for best results... and I would say ~$300 is a fair price for respraying a panel. Especially if you know and trust the shop. Cheap body shops mean cheap work 99% of the time. We fix a lot of shoddy body shop work, so I get to see it first hand.
