Breyton GTS Race wheel weights

Found out the weights for the Breyton GTS Race wheel:

19 inch fronts 9.0kg (19.84lbs)
19 inch rears 9.5kg (20.94lbs)

20 inch fronts 10kg (22.04lbs)
20 inch rears 11kg (24.25lbs)

Nice! That is lower than BBS CHs and LMs.

Direct from Breyton in Germany (Crikey my German is rusty!!). They told me they had gone all out on this one to reduce weight as much as possible. Looks like they managed it.

Set of those with Michelins on (same as OEM tyres) should do me fine. Question is, silver, gunmetal, black or black with a white or polished lip. Narrowing it down step by step though!!

Anyone wants to check, this is the number +49 (0) 40 789 179 0

Not bad weight at all. You can get them with a lip?

good weight.
but from the related posts, the front offsets are close enough but the rear offsets for the 19"s aren't suitable for the e92 m3 right?

No way!!!! Wow, that's really low, considering they cost much less than the BBS wheels (tirerack quotes the Breyton's at $289 a piece available 4/1 with black finish only). Thanks for the info. When are you getting them? Can you please weigh them when you get them to verify the numbers?

Those weights were quoted to me when I rang Breyton in Germany this morning. They are for the M3 specific ones due to be available at the end of March in Europe (dunno about the States, sorry).

They do not come with a lip as standard and would have to be sorted aftermarket. Im thinking black and having a white lip painted on to go with my AW M3. Either that or just plain silver.

tire rack has these for the E92 and it seems like a good price... little less than $300 per wheel..... I wonder if the center bore will be a direct fit for the E92 M3 as opposed to using hub centric rings...

Here are some shots of the matt grey...Please can someone Photoshop these onto an AW??? Perhaps the middle photo with the rims in the shade will fit?

Yeah we had this discussion on another thread, seems that the weights given to me by Breyton werent accurate. However, they weigh about the same as BBS CHs (Tirerack quote them at 26.1lbs) so they are still relatively light compared to most wheels. Certainly absolutely fine for road wheels as I ran 19 inch 8.5 BBS CHs on my TT for 2 years and they were absolutely fine.

Those are the weights of the GTS

The GTS-R are all new, lightweight.

Gill from tirerack posted the 18 inch weight on 1addicts. Not sure about the 19/20 inch weights. But the 18 inch weights are impressive.

18x7.5" 17.2 lbs. $279 per wheel* (Matte Grey and Black)
18x8.5" 17.6 lbs. $289 per wheel* (Matte Grey and Black)

I don't think the GTS-R lightweight Breytons are on the tirerack site yet.

They are not available until early May.

17 lbs 18" wheels at $290 each? Sounds too good to be true honestly. I'll be keeping an eye out for these...

I actually saw it over on the 1addicts board.

Gill from tirerack was posting the new wheels for 135i fitment.

He says they should arrive in May.

Yeah, saw that on 1addicts also but Gill didn't say if the weight info he posted was weighed & verified by Tire Rack or if that's the info Breyton provided Tire Rack. Based on Breyton's track record of providing weight info, I'll believe it when an independent source (such as Tire Rack) weighs them. Gill also said those are the only staggered setup they'll be carrying & not sure if Tire Rack will carry the 19" & 20" versions in the future. Then again I'm not sure if he's referring to the 1-series fitment only or in general.

I always thought Breyton was a "bling" dealer. Not something I would associate with performance. They just seemed more for show than go. The best example being the 20" sizes.

On the other hand my 18x9.5" track rims (front and rear) should be on a shipping truck somwhere. Estimated weight of 20lbs

Just got this email from Breyton.

Hi Richard,

thank you for your response.

The look of the GTS-R is not so much different than the GTS. The same look to

the wheel will be kept but the weight is reduced significantly. The backside of the

spokes will be a different shape and the wheel will have a red circle behind the spokes.

Pictures are not yet available but will come soon.

We will start with 18” sizes for Mini and 1-series application. Maybe bigger sizes will

follow but we did not finally decide about this yet.

We expect that GTS-R will become available in the UK approx. June/July.

Hoping to have served you.

Best regards
