Summer/Winter tyres

What tyres (manufacturer and model) did you get on your new X1 and which winter tyres 17" would you recommend?
European market

Does your X1 have 17" tyres? I would think they are 18".

Yes I ordered it with 17" tyres, 225/55 R17, standard ones for our market. I could order 18" for extra price but ride was too rough for me on 18". They look nice but I choose 17" for comfort. Non run flat

Nice. Since I've never ridden in this car with non run flats I have no comparative basis to judge the harshness of the ride. I figure a BMW has a firmer ride than my last car anyways so I don't mind the difference.
Enjoy the new X1.
What colours and options did you choose?

I have the exact same tyre option. I got Pirelli installed on my new x1! Since I had the old x1 with run flats 18'', I can absolutely confirm that the ride on non-run flats 17'' is much much smoother especially on the bumps - road noise is minimal also.

This might be useful:
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accesso...-and-uk-prices

Not tested on an X1, but they rate the Dunlop highly.

I'm trying to get a price for 17" wheels (type 560) from BMW in the UK: I'm tempted by the Michelin Cross Climate tyres, which seem good for all year round grip and rolling resistance, but they don't seem to make them in the right fitting for the 18" wheels...
