Ordered my new car after the dealer told me I could VT at the end of March. Told me to confirm the exact day with BMW finance and then took my order.

Turns out its the end of April so another £450. Anyone think I have grounds to moan at my dealer or should I have checked first?

I think its probably your responsibility to check where you are with your finance agreement to be honest. May be worth a moan at the dealer if you feel that strongly about it.

Yeah, unfortunately you just confirmed my feelings that it's my fault.... Never take a dealer's word for anything!

It's your responsibility as it's your contract. You may not get much joy due to the nature of how your getting out of your current car.

Yeah, I know VT is frowned upon by the finance company but tbh I think the car building and selling divisions are more than happy!

Asked the dealer to see if they can do anything and mentioned it to BMW UK who are helping me with something else.

VT has nothing to do with the dealer so it would be unfair to bitch to them and may sour the relationship somewhat.

It does seem BMW FS has a slightly different calculator to us all so always worth checking yourself first.
