What Coding Have You Had Done

Hi everyone, I'm having a paddle shift steering wheel fitted Wednesday and the car is being coded for the shift to work.

Whilst the car is connected I would like some other codes done, what do people recommend ?

Enhanced Bluetooth
sports automatic 2tb
Auto fold mirrors upon car locking
Video from USB
Video in motion (DVD/usb)
//M Perf graphic on display where mileage is
Changed iDrive start up graphic to //M
Office to work fully
Radio off when opening the door
Closing the boot from the fob
Audible beep on lock/unlock
Remember the Start/Stop Eco/Sport setting
Enable RTTI

Is there anything you have that I have missed.

Thanks

Careful with autofold mirrors upon locking as we approach winter, frozen and all that.

Consider getting the tyre temperatures added to pressure display.

Ah good point lol.

I think you need TPMS (post March 14).

Are you coding or someone doing it for you?

Does video from usb work well? Also you can close the trunk with the fob? How does that work?

I wont know until Wednesday re video from usb and on further reading about Power close the rear tailgate via remote key or button inside vehicle (option is only available with powered tailgate option). Alot of vehicles are shipped from BMW with the power tailgate set to open the tailgate from the factory. Most have the closing function deactivated.

I can't close the tailgate via the keyfob. Not sure what the reasoning behind deactivating this is.

What I really want coding in is defaulting stop/start to off.

From the factory, you should be able to open (one press) and close (long press until closed) the boot on the remote.

Coding will allow the following in respect of the boot:
One touch remote closing - better than factory IMO
One touch closing from the A pillar button

Speed limiter - standard on newer cars.

It changes the 'SET' button on the steering wheel into limiter, then you set a speed and you cannot exceed unless you use full kick-down. Quite useful for roadworks.

That sounds like a very good option, thanks for that.

USB videos work like a charm, although for true wide screen you need to edit the ratios of the videos.

Door handle lights on reverse is also nice.

Boot closing is only on GT models.

I like ASD coded to M3, buy each to their own!

Coding is the bollox !!

Do you need coding for USB video to work? Shouldn't that be standard with prof nav? It's one area I'm really curious about because I spend a lot of time waiting for my kids so being able to watch the odd TV show to catch up would be useful. (AirPlay to get iPlayer or Netflix on the nav screen would be even better, but that's probably years off)

Is this true for a standard F30/F32 without a powered tailgate? I know the button on the key fob opens the tailgate but I didn't think it would close it as well without the specific option being spec'd (if there even is a powered tailgate option for the F30/F32?).

Sorry, I should have made clear its only if you have the powered tailgate option which I believe is standard on the F31 which is what I thought the OP had

Do you want to fold the mirrors without holding the lock button for a few seconds?
I think it's nice to have the option of fold or no fold but that's just me

I can play video from USB on my 435d with no coding. Blanks picture when the car is moving obviously.
