Is my car too old?

So I have a 2007 335i e92 with roughly 135k miles. It's been tuned now for about a year, I have a larger intercooler, DCI, catless downpipes and jb4 g5.

I really want to continue but is the age and mileage of the motor not worth it? I was wanting to upgrade my turbos after my deployment that's right around the corner.

Hell no!! Your car can last up to 250k-? Easily with regular and preventative maintenance. Love that car and it will love you 20x more! -Gohan335iE90

That's not old at all! My dad has a 2006 E60 530i that he still drives everyday. When I asked him about replace it he told me 5 series don't come with 6MT anymore so he's going to keep to as long as possible.

A BMW ages at 1.7 times the rate of a normal car until yr 9 where it's like Benjamin Button, so your 2007 is really like a 2001 Nissan. By the end of this year it will be like a 1972 Buick.

In 1996 I was driving a 1979 5-series (e12).

At the time, the engine (the "big 6" M30) was just being phased out after like 30 years.

as long as you are aware that you will need to dump some money into it then it should be fine. You will still spend less in maintenance than buying a new car

Having said that , e90 coupe has an ageless look , at least for me. I have seen some on the road that still look new .

Mine is 115k and has been aggressively tuned for years. Still running strong and i have no plans to go back to stock
