Convertible Top Seals Gummi Pflege vs Glycerin

I know the subject of origami top care has been beat to death in the forums. Everyone is saying us Gummi Pflege and\or Krytox on the convertible top seals and weatherstripping. That's fine, my bottle of Gummi Pflege just arrived this morning....

I was reading the ingredients on the bottle and it shows 15-30 Glycol, 5-15% alcohol and perfume. I was wondering, has anything thought about using Glycerin instead of this Gummi pflege? It's cheaper and nearly identical to Glycol. https://shop.riteaid.com/rite-aid-gl...Q&gclsrc=aw.ds I did a search in the forum for glycol and didn't yield results so if this has been discussed already I apologize in advance. What are your thoughts?
