Engine underbelly skid/splash guard CHEAP DEAL! $37!!!
My engine splash tray has been trashed for quite a while (E90 335xi pre LCI) and kept meaning to replace it but always get sidetracked and never order. Last week I cracked the shit out of it to the point of needing to replace it asap.
After searching around online I found an incredibly cheap deal for a replacement rep. Not OEM but says direct fit replacement. Price right now is $37 + $6 shipping!!! That is about $100+ less than anywhere else I found one. It should be here on Wednesday and I will update this thread with how it fits and the quality. Here's a link.... http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...310113ATG.html

Got the new underbelly guard installed and it is damn near a pefect fit.
Very solid, flexible, heavy duty plastic. A near direct match from OEM aside from a slight difference on the passenger side rear. This didn't affect fitmet and doesn't seem to be anything at all to worry about. It arrived in a much smaller box which immediately had me thinking they shipped the front part. To my surprise it was indeed in there but just folded in half. I was angry for a minute but it quickly flattened out and all was good. Install went pretty smooth aside from a little stretching needed in the rear passenger side to get the screw into its position. Took a fee extra minutes so not a big deal at all and I expected a tight fit. All other screw holes matched up neardly spot on. It formed well to all areas for a tight fit. I am extremely stoked with the purchase and it is nice to have that old, torn up piece off the car and full coverage down there. Some pics for reference. Link is in the OP. $36 is what is cost me including shipping....helluva deal! |

I am running the non XI version of this cover on E91.
http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/200...ine_cover.html About the same price shipped. Material is definitely different than OEM, but seems more flexible which is a good thing IMO. Overall fit was very good, expect where it meets the M3 rep bumper cover, but I imagine it would fit very well with a base/sport front cover. |
