New Owner 2.0D xdrive auto Saphire Black/oyster

Had the car a week now and very, very happy. Asked the dealer about ipod connection ...he said I need a special lead ...he offred one at £40 cost price. I declined. Just plugged standard Ipod charging lead in and works a treat (though as with other cars, sound level lower than CD/Radio). Never had a car with run flats, would prefer full size spare, though have heard some positives from unbiased folk.
Only thing I'm not sure about is if there is some form of "standard" collision avoidance/mitigation...I didn't go for any camera based options, so presume not. That said the idrive does allow me to set a warning distance ? I wont experiment!

2 Coats of autoglym protector applied .... it's going to hurt when that sparkling unblemished paintwork ends up like the photo of Washys!

Hope this is a good forum - last couple I have been on were excellent with many helpful tips etc.

Congrats. Please upload some photos when you get a chance.

Emergency city brake assist (or whatever the hell BMW calls it) is standard. Driving Assist adds pedestrian detection and lane departure warning. Driving Assist Plus adds ACC and stop/go traffic assist to that.

That is a cool combo. I am starting to like black as a colour choice a lot.

Got the hang of this now

Pano roof makes the interior nice and bright.
