Seems to get good write-ups. I have to say that I think it looks good- nice balance of looking sporty and aggressive but still expensive and classy.

Looks much better than the saloon and estate, but then that's not particularly difficult

I really like the coupe a lot, the S model is expensive but you can get a standard one with a good spec for about 65k which is more in line with M4 pricing.

I'm tempted but I cannot keep swapping cars every 6-12mths it's utter madness.

Look forward to seeing and hearing one on the road!

I agree, it has a look of a Vauxhall Insignia from the rear.

Apparently it's out about June next year.

I'd be seriously interested in the estate version.

Very nice looking car in the pictures. Can't wait to see one in person. Would I choose one over an M4 though? I really don't know if I would. One thing that really puts me off is the sat nav screen. I just can't bring myself to like it in Mercedes' newer cars. And considering as an owner you're looking at the interior more than the exterior, it's a real put off for me and I doubt I could do it. Is it a bit OCD to turn down a car just because of a screen? Here I am talking like I can afford one Beautiful car otherwise.

Agree that the rear end is odd, but overall I think it looks fantastic and probably a lot more presence in the flesh than on pictures.

I'd take this over the M4 - forget lap times etc. the whole package of looks, engine and interior (barring the stuck-on infotainment screen) just makes it seem a lot more 'special' than the M4. Especially since reviews of the M3/M4 have generally been luke-warm for the most part....

I think there was a thread on this not long ago.

The big downer with Mercedes is lack of decent discounts (well here anyhow).

Agreed. That's what made me leave Mercedes.

But will be interests to see what C450 is like when it comes out.

It's alright. Not what I would spend £65k on

And this makes them expensive you can get 5-7k off the m3/m4 but they are offering only 2k off the C63 saloon at the moment, factor in the base price of the S coupe and they become M6 money especially when you get 0% on the M6 with 20k off vs. zero discount and 6-7% apr.

There are often great lease deals on Mercedes and anyway I would prefer buying something with not too generous a discount as it then has a decent residual value. Gotta look at the overall cost rather than get blinded by the huge discounts to shift metal.

If you don't get a discount you've just got further to fall, I know all about that game Porsche play (and merc attempt to play) and believe me you lose.

Not sure about that. The point is that the value doesn't tumble in the same way as a car with mega discount. There aren't many Macan drivers who would agree with you.
