I have high hopes for this game, but like every other NFS game since the original Most Wanted, I will no doubt be disappointed.

It's actually a pretty fun game. I got it yesterday and I must say I'm impressed coming from all the garbage they made before this one (after Most Wanted).

It's not as bad as the previous titles but it's not great either. Few cars, horrible AI, no manual override shifting (see my other video in the youtube channel), short campaigns, useless cops, no daylight, no cockpit cams. Physics are a bit off as well but not I've played worse. Oh and it's always online.

I just play games like these as car porn. You get to do with them what you can't really do on the streets. For driving/racing pleasure there's karting or sim racing.

Wait it's out?? I thought it wasn't coming out for a couple months yet, good grief. Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely check out some reviews etc. now. Since I'm a PC gamer, I want to make sure there is none of this limited to 30fps nonsense and you can play at 1440p. The last NFS game was ruined with the console garbage 30fps lock.

Also, I know you said you like games like this just for car porn, so try GTA 5 for the PC with mods. I have some absolutely stunning custom model cars (Zonda Cinque Roadster, LaFerrari, P1, etc.), with the speed limiters bumped up etc. It's an absolute blast, and probably the best looking car game in 1440p right now.

*EDIT* Oops, just saw the PC release was delayed until 2016. Doesn't seem to be like a big loss, the game is getting pretty lousy ratings. Oh well, I guess BF4 will have to do until Just Cause 3!!

I'm both a PC and Console gamer. I spent a lot of time racing in GTA online but the players are assholes and the loading times kill me. I prefer dedicated racing games but yeah GTA with the mods is pretty sweet.

Just wait until the PC release happens and you can mod it to unlock it to 60 FPS! The physics calculations in NFS games are tied to the framerate so the car goes double fast!

Right on! I don't play the online, just the single player. With mods it "sort of" keeps the game fresh, and honestly it's just nice to jump in for an hour or whatever and just cause mayhem. With SSDs the game loads mega fast, but I'm sure you were talking about online which does load slow (the 2-3 times I tried it).

^ Haha yeah. I bought the game not knowing they hindered it to 30fps. They at least patched "The Run", but never did with Rivals. Argh.

Got it today, will try it tonight but the reviews have not been very good. Anyway I have played every single NFS game since the first came out on PSX and it has a M2 in it - it will be the closest I will be to the car in the next few months (since it is a NFS exclusive, so no Forza DLC soon I guess), so whatever

You can't get the car in the beginning of the game, you have by far not enough cash. Have to start with a BRZ (what I did), 80s Mustang or Civic EK.
I think you need to play about 2 hours to get it. I had not much time to play yet.

Hope I'm not too late, DON'T! Customization is very limited on most cars. The only great thing is the livery editing (paint wrap).
