M3-4 CCB available for M2?
I know CCB are not available as an option on the M2. IMHO it would be a great upgrade (better then ///Mirrors)
Why? - It just looks fabulous - It just brakes fabulous - It wil not produce brakedust what so ever. I have the PCCB`s on my Cayman GTS, and frankly, I LOVE those brakes, the feel, the stopping power, as I said no brake dust. By far the best brakes I have ever encountered!! Now the M2 shares the same 19" rimms, so could the M3-4 CCB`s flipped over to the M2? I won`t discuss the costs, that is not the most important to me, the question for me is; can it be done? |

If money is not an object then yes, it can be done.
That being said though expect the cost to be probably around 4-5 times more than getting it as an added option on an M3/4 As an example ONE front rotor from the CCB is $6,600 CAD.

If you're lucky you could prob get a set off of a totaled M3/M4 car. But the biggest issue will be replacement cost. If it breaks you better have kept the stock breaks to be able to put those back on.

I too find the concept of no brake dust very appealing. But for now the cost is prohibitive. If it's not prohibitive for you then you should not be driving an m2 but something way more expensive

There is a retrofit kit available for the M3/4 platform at a cost of around $11-12k US. An issue might be the fact that the CCB system uses a different servo unit than the steel system. Not sure if it would be able to be installed on the 2er platform.

He was leasing the car... and after running the car on track for 2 years they were due for a replacement. He showed up at the track with a different GTR in the same color later in the year. When I asked him why he swtiched cars... he said he ended up trading the car in on a new one rather than paying $8800 for brakes....... plus labor.. |
