Dinan Stage 4 (bigger than stock turbos) New Turbos for 335 in the box, straight from Dinan. I have dealt with Dinan for 15 years and three BMSs. Very hard or impossible to find. Sold new for $3000. Will take $2300 or best offer. Glad to send pics or answer any Q. I have been running another set of Stage 4 Dinan turbos for the past year and this is a set not taken out of the Dinan shipping boxes. These larger turbos should run with a modified 335 with downpipes etc, not for a stock 335. Shipping is extra.
thanx for looking.
Withdrawing ad. Too much arguing with people unfamiliar with product and too many Dinan haters who don't now what they are talking about. Don't need this from supposedly BMW people.

what do you mean? They are Dinan stage 4 turbos that Dinan has been selling for the past year but Dinan's new owners did not want them selling high hp stuff so they now only sell the stock turbos. These have bigger wheels and improved wastegates for putting out more hp.

Also, i can't find anything on these turbo's. It seems dinan just list on their site rebuilting them. No stage 4 to be found.

Besides their rebuilt turbos, the larger wheel turbos are what dinan made but they only upgraded one wheel for a 5mm difference. More stout waste gate also. That's about the only differences

So it's really only $1,600 if you send yours in.

Stage 4 makes about 25-30more hp than Stage 3. Stage 4 Dinan turbos easily make 400whp and 425 torque- on the dyno just last month, which obviously is about 460 hp and 488 torque at the crank. That is on pump gas . You can get more hp with meth or E85. Dinan makes very good mechanicals. Dinan was sold months ago and the new mega owner did not want Dinan selling anything for off road use or anything that might not meet Calif emissions. But that is the same issue for anyone selling bigger turbos than stock. That is why you will not find them on Dinan's web site. They quit selling them for the above stated reason. New owners--no longer run by Steve Dinan.

No it is not $1600 for these larger turbos if you send your turbos in. It was $3000 for the turbos and $2000 for the core charge- $5000 total, your $2000 refunded when you send you old core back to them. I have the receipt.

That's just for one of the two. If you read closely you will see that's for the front and the rear needs to be bought separate, so $3200

I rather get Hexon RR550 for that price. At least you know what you are getting. Proven 600+ HP by Wedge.. I think $1800 would be fair for these..

I have Dyno showing 400whp and 425tq which naturally translates to 460 hp and 488 tq at the crank. This is higher than Dinan's own specs which say 444hp and 450 tq but Dinan is the most conservative tuner out there. I have dealt with them for over 15 years and they are very reliable. If you are not a Dinan fan , then buy what you like but don't criticize Dinan please. We all have different taste. You get what you pay for in my opinion. Naturally you can crank up the boost and watch the dyno hp figures climb. Dinan only runs about 14 psi and many others run at least 18 -24 psi or higher. Many good turbos are tested up to 32psi. I am not a street racer but a track guy and I really like these turbos. If you are seriously interested please email me at seecyrano@me.com thanx

Had to quote this for lolz at your boost assumptions.
You should have dynod your car cause they arent making the power you claim. Ive been dealing with dinan since 1998 they dont even make their own products. They just rebrand products.

I don't like to criticize people on line . It is too easy to do but I cannot let inaccuracies go without a response. Sorry but I have you beat on dealing with Dinan. I go back to early E39 Dinan products and M cars. yes, Dinan has fabricators, just as most turbo manufacturers do, to make or improve certain aspects of it's turbos but Dinan DOES manufacture most of its own parts and assembles them. Almost no turbo manufacturer can manufacture every piece of a turbo assembly on their own, no more than Ferrari can manufacture every piece of their car. It would be prohibitively expensive and too time consuming from a productively standpoint.
And they do NOT just rebrand other peoples products.. No more than the top half dozen other turbo manufacturers do. Just look at Steve Dinan's on line videos over the years showing their manufacturing process for various pieces made in house. As to the dyno, if you read my last post I have put my car on the dyno several times - last time a month ago-as I track the car and keep it at peak performance. The performance figures ARE accurate and reliable. If you don't like Dinan, don't criticize them and please take your inaccurate comments elsewhere. Sorry but you don't have my dinan receipts or my dyno results to back up my facts. Again I hate to criticize but I cannot stand by while you inaccurately make misleading statements. Sorry but i will not respond in the future to your comments. Have a nice day. I am sure you meant well.

So it makes what stock frames make on pump is what you are saying.

I appreciate your comment but not your attitude
Did I say "it makes what stock frames make on Pump". No I did not because stock turbos do not put out 444whp unless you make every mod known to man and boost the psi to over 20. And then you will not run those turbos for long before you blow the wastegates apart.
Not going to get in to an argument. I have over 30 yrs experience with Porsches and BMWs and have a file full of proof that will disprove your point. Unfortunately for you, I don't have time for negative, lambasting , pissing contest. Go buy what you think is best for you and get your facts straight for what Dinan is all about. If what you said were true, no one would be making bigger turbos because every stock car would have 444 hp. Not interested in participating in beating up BMW fans through email posts.

Some advice...pics are helpful and any supporting docs like the dyno you say you have. Theres alot of competition out there right now so don't expect to put up a set of "stage 4 dinan turbos" without some questions lol glws

I assume these are comparable to vtt stage 1 snails. Maybe more reliable, who knows. Some specs would be cool
