BMW 2015 BMW 740xd vs 640xd GC

Dear gentlemen,

I am 28 old and I drive BMW E70 X5 3.0d. In a few weeks I am planning to order a brand new BMW.
I am wondering between 2015 BMW 640xd Gran coupe with m sport and 2015 BMW 740xd with m sport.
Both are very luxurious and innovative. Their dimensions and engines are also similar. The 6 series is a bit more exclusive, but it is a facelift and it's outdated compared to the new 7 series.

Which one do you thing will be better choice and why?

Regards,
Atanas

Garage List
i would get the 6c because:
the 6 is low compared to 5 & 7. lower roofline, lower seating position. it just looks much sportier/aggressive which i like. it also translates to lower CoG and better handling.

you can get more interesting colours for 6 interior. i like the two tone sportier interior.

fully optioned 6 would cost as much as a base 740. i like all options.

the only reason i would have gotten 7 is for the new tech but the tech gets old fast and a lot of it is for the rear passenger which i don't care about. i would only miss the new key and the cluster/idrive which look cool but not enough to outweigh the other reasons.

I would pass on the 6 Series. The headlights on the front of the car date this model. I would either go with the new 7 Series or for someone younger, a M4. Both of these models have the headlights that are attached to the front grill. The one last option is to hold off to the spring when the newly designed 5 Series hits the market.

The 7. It's design is brand new and is one of the best looking bimmers right now IMO. Add M-sport and the Autobahn package to give you variable steering ratios and rear wheel steering as well, the 6er doesn't get that.

And... the elephant in the room here is rear leg room. If you've got eyes on the 6GC due to the need to have more than one other passenger, I recommend you go to the dealership and actually "sit" in the back seat of the 6GC. It's marginally better than the 6 Series Coupe (by an inch or so, which is laughable). The 7 Series is a proper sedan and will coddle both front and rear seat passengers on short and long journeys.
