So I called my local Bmw dealer to get an estimate of how much to buy and install an m performance exhaust on my f30 328i and I was told around 1,400! Wth... I can buy one off eBay for 800 & pay 100 at a local shop to install it.. Would they price match if I talk to them? I want to keep my warranty I am not sure if I do this by myself that my warranty will be voided

Garage List
2022 BMW X3  [9.83]
2015 BMW M3  [6.50]
$1400.00 is the list price for the exhaust, but don't buy it from eBay - get it from Tischer BMW, also known as getbmwparts dot com. At least that way you'll know it's genuine. You could take their price listing to your dealership and ask them to match it - I did that with other purchases from a dealer I used in TX and they'd match the price plus shipping charges. Neither eBay or Tischer will ship something that heavy for free.

Since you are in my area which dealership did you call? I just had the BMW Performance Exhaust, M Performance Power Kit, and the M performance Brake kit all installed for $1300 at Passport BMW.

Also you should buy your stuff at getbmwparts.com as they are at the BMW of Silver Spring dealership and that's a 30 minute drive for you to pick up if you want.

MPPK does not exist for 328 n20/n26 engine. And I doubt m performance brakes and exhaust all for 1300$ total.

That was just the labor, was 2000 for the parts. Including the rear rotors which are extra.

Now that makes more sense. Just labor was $1300 got it.

As for OP, as mentioned above just find best price and take to your dealership they will match it. I would recommend install yourself it's very simple. Part was $815 for me from Circle BMW.

I called sterling Bmw they are just 8 minutes from me, does it matter who installs it to maintain warranty?

yeah, you didn't get a great deal unless the hardware was included and if so that is a phenomenal deal because the brake kit alone is $1900.

Nope. So if you buy it online you should be good to go with any dealership.

That is what I'm wondering I wouldn't like to pay more than 100 to get it installed

Why are you worried about the warranty on the exhaust that you're cutting off? Warranty is a non-issue. Just have it done by a reputable shop.

Or that. It's a pretty easy job. Maybe an hour or so if you have a decent exhaust tubing cutter.

Do it at local Muffle shop, because it not hard to install the exhaust, all they do is chop the old one out , and hook up the new one and clamp it together. NO WELDING WAS INVOLVED,(unless you want to weld it) it was a 15 minute job, thats what i did.

When i got my exhaust one of the techs at BMW said as long as it is installed right by someone else it won't void the warranty.
