New E92 Owner, Sapphire Black...

Morning guys,

Been reading on here for a couple of weeks, lots of useful information so think I'll be sticking around, tend to read more than I post though!

Last Saturday I took the plunge, bought a 1-way ticket from Colchester to Newcastle to pick up my second car, and my first BMW. The GF got herself an '11 BMW 1 Series a few months back and I had had enough of my MK4 GT TDI golf (for sale dirt cheap if anyones interested!).

Its a Sapphire Black MSport E92 320D, good service history including the original receipt. It has the upgraded BMW sound system which I am over the moon with, sounds awesome. Black leather, powerfold mirrors, parking senrors F/R, factory fitted spoiler. Had I done more research I would have realised that 'Nav' is not just 'Nav'. It had the CCC system, and what a load of shit that was. I had that upgraed to CIC yesterday morning by jammy78 (top job!), only a week into ownership. It is a good spec car, only thing it seems to be missing is bloody heated seats, but I can't say it bothers me enough to do anything about it.

The plans are:
  • Have the wheels refurbed Ferric Grey - I was fairly sure this was the way I wanted to go, and when I saw a friends E91 LCI with the same rims in the grey I was sold.
  • Possibly fit LCI taillights, same as above, I wasn't bothered until I saw the LCI ones up close, they would have to come up for the right money though.
  • DPF removal and Remap - Also looking at an EGR delete as it was mega on the golf, but need to find the right kit first!
  • Combox retrofit
  • White angel eyes/LED interior light kit
  • Black kidney grills - possibly with the 'metal finish' Msport 3 stripe.

First picture stopping for fuel in Hartlepool

After its first wash by the Polish as I didn't have enough time on the Sunday to do it properly - Won't be going back.

Half way through the CIC install yesterday morning!

Good mate of mine helping me do a better job of giving it a proper once over!

And as it stands today after a quick coat of MER - might polish it again later! Machine polish at a later date!

Any other recommended modifications appreciated, still very new to it all!
Tom

Car looks nice and I do think LCI rear lights are one of the best mods you can do. Transforms the rear end.

With your car being a early 320d I would check this thread out too:

I'll give BMW a call this week and see what they say about the chain, thanks for the heads up! Combox sourced, the more I look the more I want the LCI lights, that and a private plate and you'd be surprised it was an 07!
